Its been a while

Well it has been a while since I last update which was sometime in January and now its near the end of February. I turned 23 this month and it seems that I feel that I am getting older or somewhere close to being a full fledged adult. Chinese New Year is also coming to an end, next week on Wednesday and this year has been the first time in 4 years I actually gotten a red packet. I can only blame myself for not mixing more with the married hongkies in Sheffield, well, the only hongkies I know are about my age. Maybe I should have visited those chinese take-aways, but then again I am not their usual customer or one that comes often whereby they would give me one. So here I am back online and ranting as usual. I feel that I am growing a little chubby so drastic measures are being taken as I type this, well the fact that I stop eating breakfast and just take a cup of milo or a packet of chocolate milk should last me through lunch whereby I just eat a small bun except for Fridays though, I take a full meal.

Up until yesterday, I seemed to be obsessed with the new Motorola Razr V3 phone. At its current price at RM2699, the price to feature ratio does not seem at all viable. At that price other people would rather get the ever increasingly popular O2 XDA II Mini which I have seen and played (it looks absolutely gorgeous) on Wednesday night. But the looks of the phones seems to be the one that draws me closer to it especially that this is a super slim flip phone which actually offers bluetooth technology. In case most of you out there do not know, most small compact flip mobile phones do not have bluetooth.

I think right now, I seem to be learning lots and lots of patience. Actually I am trying to learn patience but it seems that every minute or so I just get ultra impatient over anything. Liverpool on the other hand gets me in a super depressed mood where the team doesn't really seem to play to expectation. Win one game and then lose the next few and the cycle starts all over again. It just gets really frustating to see such a wonderful club suffer at the hands of players who can't do things right consistently. After the defeat at the hands of Birmingham, I seem to have a cloud of doubt over me thinking that their past victories this season seem to contain a fair amount of luck on our side and not skill.

Over last week though I just managed to visit the Curve for my first time. Ate lunch there at this noodle bar cum shop where it uses fresh noodles instead of those which are covered in persevatives. The menu looked rather good but the most perculiar thing was that they had spaghetti on the menu amongst other local favourite noodle dishes such as laksa, curry mee and mee mamak. The price though was attrocious, who in their right mind pay RM10.92 for a bowl of mee mamak and a cup of ice lemon tea which was filled with ice. Believe you me, it took me two gulps to finish the entire cup of tea. The noodles weren't to say spectacular and it wasn't at all filling. So if I were you, stay away from this shop, Only Mee.

As 2004 ends with a tragic event, 2005 ushers in a new hope that lights the lives of those affected by the tsunami. As more and more countries send more aid and help, either I sense one another each country is competing against the other to see who donates more or teamwork, efforts joined to bring food and aid to those badly hit by the tsunami. As death tolls increase every day, what can we do but pray for them, to ask God to send His peace and loving kindness and grace to the victims, to bring comforting to those mourning over the deaths of their loved ones. In all these chaotic moments, one can only rely on hope and this hope drives us humans forward, to overcome challenges and to learn from past mitakes. Know this and keep this in your heart. God bless! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ok it may not be that entirely happpy for me thanks to a certain blind referee who couldn't see that blantantly obvious handball in the penalty box by a certain defender who plays for a certain blue team! Honestly, Liverpool deserved the penalty and by the way they are playing they could have won the game. But woe is the curse of injured players on Liverpool, as Alonso has become another victim of this evil curse. Well we can only lick our wounds and cry foul or look towards getting a couple of replacements and work harder to achieve a decent standing in the league as well as the highly coveted Champions League spot.

Testing

Finally getting back in to the mood of blogging. Firstly, just a
simple test to make sure that I can actually post on my blog using my
email address. Well of course doing it through the normal way will be
just too obvious at work but I like to have other options of posting
and this is one of them.

Christmas is coming and you know what that means, its someone's
birthday on Saturday. Someone very very special in my heart and
without him this day I would be lost. He is none other than Jesus.
Christmas is not all about presents and santa claus or christmas trees
or mistletoe. No it is about the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who
came to earth this very day about 2000 years ago to give His life so
that we may live. Just live it up and enjoy yourself for the festive
season has arrived!

Milo Shake? Chocolate Shake? Nah, planet shake!

Attended the first night session of the Planet Skakers conference here in Malaysia. Not attending the second one? Well I am at work updating my blog :P. Anyway the concert was great, finding a parking space wasn't. The crowd was huge and the change of getting in front was near impossible so I settled at the back with Chuen. Split up from my cell group members (well I didn't see any of them except those whom I saw before I came in) I was so far from stage that my camera could hardly take a decent shot but I will still post some pictures up soon. The music wasn't that familiar (due to the fact that I hadn't listened to any of their 3 new albums) so I wasn't drawn or possesed by the music or the tune but I knew God was telling me that true worship comes from within and not from the music. So slowly I began to absorb myself and concentrate on worshipping God instead of worrying about what the next line of lyrics is or am I singing it correctly.

The main significant thing of the whole event was the ending part when the pastor asked everyone to call on to Jesus. Little did I know how quiet I was or how shy I was to even let go a squeek but after a great deal of convincing myself I managed to shout out loud! Now that is what I call getting God's attention. Once the event was over, I headed over to the shop out front and bought 2 CDs, well it is payday anyway and the money does go to helping in certain ministries. And what do you do when you buy CDs at a concert? You get them signed of course. So onward I headed to the signing booth where I managed to get both my CDs signed. After a full day out from home, I managed to struggle back home around 11.30pm and slept pretty soon.
