Yes, this site is not inactive and the sight of the many posts on my tag-board has spurred me to keep this site active with insights and thoughts coming from a llama (so calls Josh). Anyhow, life has been pretty hectic lately especially the last month. Was in a bit of a mixed feelings in certain areas of my life but right now, I am still as confused as ever but with a little more purpose in mind.
Went for a workshop in financial planning about 2 weeks back and boy, do I really need to personally manage my own finances. Suddenly I feel the need to thank God for my cheap canteen food I consume everyday at work, saves me moolah but puts my health at risk. Ok I will just stick to healthier food, so say I. Well my counter is still steady, 13kgs to go.
Recently everyone went and watched Episode 3. Personally, its alright because I don't like to watch movies where I know what will happen and how it ends. Well almost everyone knows how it ends because they have all seen Episode 4. Maybe that is why, my expectations were rather low because I knew that American type shows can't compare in terms of fighting scenes to those old Jet-Li movies. I thought the saber fight scenes were only so-so except for a few parts where it gotten interesting. In likeness of Hayden Christansen and Mark Hamil, both of them are equally "kayu" hence proves the phrase "like father, like son". Ok call me lame.
I need to properly warm up and warm down next time when I play futsal. Then I wouldn't have to go through the same pain I am going through right now, aching legs. Oh, lunch time is about over. No sleep today, maybe tomorrow instead. Ah Lionel, I envy the good food you get at KLCC but I don't envy the price.

Email not working?
Ok, I guess that my email updates doesn't seem to work very well. As I mentioned in my earlier posts, blog updating using email is not as great as I would have thought. Firstly the updates are extremely late in being posted and now the entire update isn't posted as well. Oh well, looks like I have to log on to my account and do the updating again.
As for my good friend Lionel, do not be dishearted. There are plenty more opportunities for you. Learn from this experience and work harder ok? Believe me, I went through the same thing.
Josh, you are not coming back for summer? Well since you are working there, I expect a free breakfast, lunch and dinner when you get back in December. Oh yes, nothing less than RM50 per meal. For you, its about 7 quid so no complaining!
As for me, my skin is peeling thanks to the nasty sunburn I got from Bali. Next time, I am going to swim in sunblock lotion before I step under the sun when I am on the beach. Or else, I will just stick to reading a book in a cosy air conditioned Starbucks outlet!
On a side not, I noticed that there are some errors on the side bar. Looks like I need to either change my template or just figure out the problem.
I also finished reading "Who says Elephants can't Dance". Honestly it gave me a good insight of how corporate restructuring is, but that is just one of the many other scenarios.
Finally learned to not have such long paragraphs for my blog as it is hard to read or people tend to get lost in them and start to totally ignore it.

Ba bA ba lee
Its Wednesday and I have only 3 more days to go before leaving for Bali. Some form of relaxation I might add but in a way I am rather looking forward to it. Of course, who doesn't look forward to holidays, all the fun, food and laughter. Well there are its downsides such as Chuen is not able to come with me and Quest had to pull out last minute due to work related reasons.
Anyhow DUMC had an amazing time at their 25th Anniversary Dinner on Sunday night. The event was fantastic with plenty of video clips and performances showing DUMC from its very beginning till right where we are. The most interesting thing is the Dream Centre which DUMC hope to build in the coming years. The plans look awesome and the whole idea of a church that never sleeps is totally mind boggling. This is something I really look forward to.
Last night I managed to have a great time with Boon and Heng Leong with a bit of snooker and bak kut teh. Of course the price of the bak kut teh was crazy, RM520 for four people. Talk about craziness, well actually just divide that number by 10 and you get the real price. The seller always like to just mention them in the hundreds. The food was good, service was fast and if you have a craving for bak kut teh you can always head over to the shop behind Maybank in Paramount Gardens. I still remember the first time when Boon and Heng Leong conned me in to believing that the bill was really in the hundreds. That was when I saw the guy wrote the bill down on a piece of paper and I was just strucked dumb. Anyway I left with an extremely red face though that day.
Weather is getting awfully bad these days. I wonder why there aren't any air indexes report on the newspapers but its getting kinda bad. Even my colleague started getting rashes yesterday. Oh well, let it rain Lord!

Allergies? Bah I hate them...
Okay, what I thought would have been a fun way to spend Sunday would be to play futsal in the evening and then head over to a birthday bash at night. I mean, it would have been fun and more productive but not for me. Let me explain. It all began right after church service, I decided to have lunch with my good friend Andrew near church. We settled in at the coffee shop opposite KFC and the both of us ate the usual mixed rice.
Lunch was good and we even had a bit of activity during our meal. Apparently someone dropped her purse in the coffee shop and thanks to the coffee shop owners being my old school mate's parents, they asked me, Andrew and Joshua's parents whether the wallet belonged to someone in church. And there started out activity, everyone pooled their resources trying to contact anyone they could think of in church to see if they knew the owner of the wallet. After a good 10-15mins of mass calling, the answer came back zip and we had to eventually leave the wallet with my friend's parents, the coffeeshop owners.
Anyway since Chuen was arriving at church at about 2+pm, I had about 20minutes to kill so I went and pumped my petrol, and waited in church for her to arrive while reading my book. It was then suddenly I felt my whole entire face turn red hot and I knew it was flushing because I felt this sensation before the last time I had food poisoning. When Chuen arrived, she noticed my red face and quickly advised me whether if I wanted to see a doctor. I was reluctant at first but when she started noticing spots appearing on my hand, I knew I had to go to the nearest clinic.
Upon arrival, I was so glad there wasn't anyone else in line. So onwards I went to the doctor. By then my conditioned had worsened and my whole body was lobster red and more and more spots started appearing. See the effect, the doctor quickly gave me a job which evidently made me extremely drowsy. Chuen had to drive me home instead and by the time I got home, I was totally knocked out and slept for a couple of hours.
By Monday morning, which is this morning, I am totally cured. Praise God indeed! Alright, now to finally fix my Ipaq which has been out of order for about 5 months thanks to my carelessness. Yeah, I cracked the LCD screen. Need to invest in a hard case, I really do!

Fall to pieces?
Ok the title has been ringing in my ears for the past minute. Actually its a line from the song I am currently listening to on my MP3 player. Its a really nice song by Caedmon's Call called High Countries. Last week has been much of a blur for me, firstly I was out from work for 4 days. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Actually I was kind of sick on Sunday itself and by Monday I wasn't well enough to go to work and the doctor said that I had an infection coming on soon. But by Tuesday I was well enough to go to work and after work on Tuesday I went to 1 Utama to get more Nescafe 3in1 for work and I needed to get a file and a name card holder. So happily I went there with Chuen and we headed to the new food court. I tried out their cheese baked rice from the stall located at the entrance of the new food court and it wasn't that great. The rice was actually cooked before hand and the cheese and chicken was then heated up on top of the rice so it can't really be called cheese baked rice. Anyhow after that when I went home, I didn't feel too good already. My stomach was acting up and I couldn't sleep at all, I kept waking up each hour after the next and by 4.30am I was in my toilet vomitting everything out. This was Wednesday already and I headed over to the clinic nearby and found out that I had an extremely high fever with temperatures of 39 degrees celcius.
So being confined in bed sucks and waiting an hour at the clinic for your turn is even more unbearable especially when you are that sick. Worse case scenario is that by the time its your turn, my fever could have dissapeard haha. But after 5 days of rest, I still think that I am not that fit yet both mentally and physically. I believe that I need at least another week before I fully recover and start my exercise regime.

Email, slow? Really its true.
Ok, to explain that weird title for today, firstly I have been updating my blod via email and the time at which I sent out the email does not match the time posted on my blog. For example, one of my previous posts talk about being at work on Saturday. Well I wrote that when I gotten home on Saturday but the time at which it was posted on my blog was Sunday. So there is a lag. Right now its just after work at about 5.50pm 1st of March 2005. Lets see how long will this post take.
On the side, Pre-U getaway was great, even though I arrived more than a day late because I had to work on Saturday, never the less, I enjoyed myself during the sharing sessions and I felt that I have gotten to know some people more. The drive up there was crazy, seriously, I tell you a 1.6A Waja definitely has no power. The car was struggling as if it were towing an elephant up the slope and I could see Iswaras and Kancils overtake me like there was no tomorrow. I bet that if there were busses the time I was going up, my whole car would be eating their black smoggy dust. Also in case any of you plan to go up to Genting and the McDonald's at the base of the hill is one of your pit stops, please take the Genting Sepah exit instead of the earlier exit which leads directly straight up the hill. Well sadly I had to experiece that. My stomach was all set for a Chicken Deluxe burger and all I had to settle for was a plate of chicken rice at Gohtong Jaya and the food was so bad and the price was crazy. I paid RM19 in total for a plate of chicken rice, curry noodles, glutinuous rice (loh mai kai) and 2 100-plus. I tell you, not only does the casino rob you of money, restaurant owners as well.
Actually funnily I only remembered to turn-off my air conditioner only after we left Gohtong Jaya. Only then did I manage to squeeze out more power from my moving bricks with wheels and only then did I manage to keep up with other cars instead of hogging the left lane all the way to Peacehaven. The drive down was great, although the suspensions were a little soft on the Waja and during each corner I could feel the car wobbling from left to right as if it were a ship on rough seas. Of course going down Genting without my trusty Starbucks is a no no. Thank goodness there is a Starbucks at the top haha. By the way, I heard that Starbucks opened a lot at Sunway college. I wonder if they will ever consider opening one at Taylor's or in front of Taylors. Then I could predict that their business will come mainly during the weekdays when there are plenty of students and empty on the weekends when the colleges are practically deserted.
Dota v6.0 is not out yet. Still, I am patient as I have other series to watch including both anime and US series. Also been catching the latest series called Numb3rs. Quite interesting. Have a go if you have the time. I have to personally thank Ian for recommending that series to me.
